Resetting or changing your password
What to do if you can't sign in, how the reset link works, and how to change your password while you're signed in.
Quick answer
On Log In (awqot.app/login), tap Forgot password?, enter the email you sign in with, and we'll email you a link. Open it, choose a new password, then sign in with it. Already signed in and just want a new one? Use Account security on the Profile tab of Mosque Admin Dashboard.
Ask for a reset link
On the Log In page, tap Forgot password? (asatizah have the same link on their sign-in page). On the Reset Password page, enter the email you sign in with, complete the verification check, and tap Send reset link.
You'll see: If an account exists for that email, we've sent a reset link. Check your inbox — it may take a minute, and don't forget spam. That message appears whether or not the email has an account, so nobody can use this page to find out who has one.
If the verification check doesn't pass, the page says The verification check failed. Please complete it again and try again. If it says We couldn't send the reset link right now, wait a minute and try again.
Open the link and choose a new password
The email's link opens Set New Password, which briefly shows Verifying your reset link…. Then enter a New password and the same again under Confirm new password (at least 6 characters; the Show / Hide button lets you check what you typed), and tap Set new password.
If the two don't match, the page says Passwords don't match.; if it's too short, Password must be at least 6 characters.
Sign in with the new password
You're taken back to Log In with Password updated — log in with your new password. Sign in as usual.
If the page instead says This reset link is invalid or has expired, tap Request a new one, then use the link in the newest email.
Changing your password while signed in
Go to Mosque Admin Dashboard (awqot.app/admin) → Profile → Account security. Enter your Current password, then a New password twice (Confirm new password), and tap Update password. You'll see ✓ Password updated. If the current password is wrong, it says That isn't your current password. The same section lets you change the email you sign in with, with Update email.
Your password and your PIN are separate
Resetting your password doesn't change the In-house PIN, and the PIN doesn't sign you in. If it's the PIN you've forgotten, use Forgot PIN? on the PIN screen of Live Session Control Panel — it asks for your account password to check it's you. See Running a Friday khutbah with Live Session.
Common questions
The reset email never arrived
Give it a minute, then check your spam or junk folder. Make sure you entered the exact email you sign in with — a different address won't get an email, and the page can't tell you so. You can request another link from the Reset Password page.
I don't remember which email I signed up with
Try the addresses you'd normally use for the mosque. If none of them work, email us with your mosque's name and subdomain and we'll help.
